The term ‘a room with a view’ was surely meant for a home such as Casaletto Corvone. This beautiful original stone built property has been recently restored carefully and most considerately back to her original splendour, thoughtfully designed with a view from almost every room in the house. And what views they are....
Such a breathtaking spot, Casaletto Corvone has incredible panoramic views of rolling hillsides, of tiny match-stick villages beyond, a patchwork quilt of colour that forms part of the National Park of the Monti Sibillini, all sat below the Apennine and Sibillini Mountain range.
You are a world away from the hustle and bustle of life, on top of the world some would imagine. Listen only to the sound of birdsong and the far off murmur of the locals. Yet only 60 steps away, uphill is the small village of Monteleone di Fermo with a bar, small supermarket and restaurant. This is where clients have to leave their cars to reach the property.
The owner has carefully restored Casaletto Corvone and mixes the very old with the convenience of the modern day. Original features that bring character and personality to this very spacious house such as the beamed ceilings and doorways, and the original stone features successfully fuse with the white-washed fresh and airy interiors, the comfortable furnishings and modern everyday needs. The bathrooms are impeccable as is the attention to detail here at Casaletto Corvone.
As the private gates open to Casaletto Corvone, you are immediately dazzled by the unobtrusive views beyond. The house itself is set in limited neat lawned gardens with a 'dipping' pool (8 x 2.2m) ideal for those in need of a quick cool off from the heat of the sun.
The main house offers two double bedrooms but there is also a separate living space – the dependance –a quaint single storey home housing a wonderful twin bedded room with shower room.
Monteleone di Fermo is just one of the many historic medieval villages of southern Le Marche. The collection of small hilltop villages that can be seen from Casaletto Corvone remain almost unchanged for centuries and are full of ancient churches and historic buildings just waiting to be explored.
Exploring the outdoors? Then the Monti Sibillini National Park that sits below Casaletto Corvone is a must for all outdoor lovers. This natural beauty spot is now a protected area and home to a large population of wild boar and the re-appearance of both the lynx and the golden eagle.
Should you wish to explore a little further afield and leave the tranquillity of the countryside behind you for a day, Ascoli Piceno is the nearest city to Casaletto Corvone and lies on the banks of the Tronto river. Famous for its beautiful Piazza del Popolo, it is considered one of the most elegant provincial squares in all of Italy. The square boasts the Palazzo del Popolo with its beautiful arcaded Renaissance courtyard and lying opposite, the Gothic church of San Francesco.
Ascoli Piceno is also famous for its annual Quintana – a medieval festival held in the Piazza del Popolo every August and is most certainly a spectacle to see whilst in Le Marche.
Le Marche is not all rolling countryside and stunning historical cities, the Adriatic coast is only 34 kilometers from Casaletto Corvone. It has a true Mediterranean feel, sample the catch of the day at some of the best fresh fish restaurants in the region, or while away the hours on the sandy beaches that stretch all along the coast line.
